Outdoor Gazebo Concerts to Bring Hot Tunes to the Summertime
Pack a cooler, bring your blankets and chairs to the park and settle in for fun entertainment at the Gazebo. Summer concerts on Saturday and Sunday nights at the Gazebo are a tradition in historic, downtown Greendale. On Saturday nights, residents are treated to the Saturday Night Fun on the Green sponsored by the Greendale Entertainment Association. On Sundays, the Greendale Park and Recreation Department presents Village Nites on the Green. Below is a schedule of this year’s Gazebo entertainment.

JUNE 25: THE MANIA-BEATLES TRIBUTE. More appropriately categorized as a Beatles cover band than a tribute act, The Mania focuses on recreating the best of The Beatles in a high-energy, true-to-the recording fashion that still leaves room for a few twists. Multiple lead vocalists, keyboards, and four-part vocal harmonies help bring this deep, classic music to life. For more information: themaniawi.com
JULY 9: GREENDALE COMMUNITY THEATRE GROUP. Greendale Community Theatre (GCT) returns to the Greendale Gazebo with great music from their July production of “The Little Mermaid” along with songs from previous GCT productions. For more information: www.greendaletheater.org
JULY 16: ACCOMPANY OF KIDS. The Accompany of Kids, affectionately known as “AOK,” has been in existence for 25 years. The AOK “Kids” audition every six months, rehearse in Menomonee Falls, hail from many different communities and backgrounds, but as you will see, all of the “Kids,” share the combined love of performing, with great harmonies and high-spirited dance techniques. JULY 23: THE DIFFERENTIALS. Hearken back to listing to the Eagles, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Roy Orbison, and a host of others. This is the Classic Rock music you will hear from this quartet of singers – all pros in their own right and truly harmonious when all together. JULY 30: JACKSON DORDEL JAZZ QUARTET. Jazz and Pops from Blue Eyes to Blue Skies.
AUGUST 6: BRITISH INVASION ‘64. Playing all of the song game that started the British Invasion from Herman’s Hermits to the Kinks.
AUGUST 20: NEWTONBURG BRASS BAND. The Newtonburg Brass Band is a lighthearted recreation of an early 1900s small town brass band. Thirteen musicians in authentic attire perform the music that was once the primary source of culture and entertainment in small town America. The band features marches, light classics, concert band favorites, early Dixieland, and a large repertoire of American, German or Czech polka and waltz music. AUGUST 27: THE WHISKEYBELLES. The WhiskeyBelles are an all-female traditional country and Americana trio based out of Milwaukee. The Belles are widely known for captivating shows featuring their own take on classic and obscure vintage-county, Americana, folk-revival and roots-country tunes, with their witty originals sprinkled in. JUNE 26: GREENDALE VILLAGE RAMBLERS (DIXIELAND BAND). It’s a feel good, toe-tapping musical journey through the traditions of our jazz heritage. This is the music that influenced thousands of future jazz musicians. It will be a night of happy music that will make you feel a little better than you did before.
JULY 10: THE LITTLE GERMAN BAND. There are 12 to 15 members in this traditional German Band that entertains you with polkas, marches, waltzes and other German-type style music.

JULY 24: GREENDALE VILLAGE SWING BAND. Listen to the Swingin’ Tunes in the tradition of the legendary Big Bands. Music that will make your heart dance as you cuddle with your honey. Sounds of the 30’s and 40’s, so popular, they dominated the airwaves of WWII.
JULY 31: GREENDALE VILLAGE CONCERT BAND. From Sousa to swing, from ragtime to rock, from the lights of Broadway to Broad Street, the Concert Band brings a variety of music to enjoy under the stars.
AUGUST 7: MISSISSIPPI SAWYER. Getting to the roots of American Music, Mississippi Sawyer draws from folk and blues tradition established in the delta and bayou regions of the post-Gilded Age American South. Using a blend of traditional and home- made instruments such as banjo, washboard, washtub bass and even saw, they capture a true sound of a genre of music that tells history as well as a story.
