Man Surrenders Peacefully After SWAT Situation in Village Center
A man who had initially refused to come out of his home was arrested and will be charged with disorderly conduct after police responded with a heavy police presence including a SWAT Team on Northway and Apricot Court earlier this morning. There are no reports of injuries. Police were on the scene starting at approximately 6 a.m.
According to CBS 58, homes were not evacuated and at approximately 9:30 a.m. the situation ended the man surrendered to police. According to reports, the man will be charged with disorderly conduct.
WISN reported, police were working to make contact with people inside the home on Apricot Court. A woman and two children were later seen coming out of the home and were quickly escorted away from the building by authorities.
A tactical squad was seen with automatic rifles drawn and moving through the area. Unconfirmed reports say the man may have been suicidal.
