Open House for Proposed Southridge Apartment Complex Tonight
The Village of Greendale will hold an open house for a three-story apartment complex proposed for the eastern portion of the JC Penney Property at Southridge Mall.
The open house will be held on Wednesday, April 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Historic Hose Tower Building located at 5699 Parking Street in Greendale to review a redevelopment proposal and solicit public comments for the proposal.
Drawings developed by AG Architects will be on display for review. The proposal has been developed to eliminate the former tire, battery auto center and remediate contamination on the site, enhance and/or stabilize the tax base, improve the vitality of the Southridge Mall Area, attract new residents, and build the Village’s reputation and value, according to the Village.
The open house will allow residents to review drawings and provide input to Village representatives. Representatives from the Village of Greendale and the developer will be in attendance.
The Plan Commission will review this proposal on May 11. A public hearing on the proposal will be held at the Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees on May 17. Both of these meetings will be held in the Village Board Room at Village Hall, 6500 Northway, Greendale, WI 53129.
