GHS Announces Inaugural Class for Athletics Hall of Fame
Greendale High School has announced the members the inaugural class of its newly developed Athletics Hall of Fame.
Members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2016 include: Coach Robin Schrank, Greendale Baseball 1980-99; The State Champion 2006 Girls Softball Team; Kaylan Caiati, GHS Class of 2003, Fourtime State Tennis Champion; Jim Gruenwald, GHS Class of 1988, State Wrestling Champion; Matt Reischl, GHS Class of 1994, All-State Football Player; and Jerry & Diane Meyers, Greendale Youth Football Directors, Friends of GHS Athletics.
The Induction Ceremony for the GHS Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2016 will take place in the gymnasium at Greendale High School on February 5, between the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games against New Berlin Eisenhower.
“This inaugural class of the Hall of Fame represents some of the finest athletes, coaches, and community members who have had an impact on sports here in Greendale,” said Mark Pollex, Greendale High School Athletics and Activities Director. “We are excited to welcome them back to the school to celebrate their accomplishments.”
The Hall of Fame award recognizes and honors outstanding achievements of individual athletes, coaches, and friends of Greendale High School who have contributed to the integrity, promotion, and growth of athletics at the school. Members of the Hall of Fame will have performed at both an exceptionally high athletic level and represented Greendale with high standards of citizenship and character. This award will also recognize and honor people who have been instrumental in creating an excellent athletic tradition in the ideals of “Panther Pride”.
