Greendale Veterans Day Events Scheduled
The Greendale American Legion and VFW are offering special Veterans Day observances on November 11 and November 12. Friends and supporters are encouraged to attend.
November 11th @ Greendale Library – 5647 Broad Street, from 5:30 to 7:30PM
- Quilt of Honor presentation and war memorabilia displays
- Patriotic songs by Lumen Christi Ministry singers and soloist, Joy Bach
- Guest speaker: Chief Petty Officer Mark Stevens
- Light refreshments will be served

November 12th – Assemble at the Hose Tower on Parking Street – Parade down Broad Street to
Memorial site at Broad Street and South way
- VFW/American Legion Color Guard
- Parade on Broad Street for veterans and civilian participants – Individual flags will be furnished
- Flag ceremony and Opening prayer
- Guest speaker, Village President and veteran Jim Birmingham
- Recognition of individual veterans
- Closing prayer in memory of veterans’ service to our country
Additional parking available across from memorial site at the baseball field.
Very impressive program in Library, thanks to new Librarian. Program at proposed veterans memorial site on Broad Street and South way drew a large crowd. Hope these programs continue annually so as to show respect and recognition to our veterans.
