Greendale High School Seeks Nominations for Athletics Hall of Fame
Greendale High School is seeking nominations for the second class of its Athletics Hall of Fame. Coaches, former athletes, athletic teams, and friends of GHS athletics are eligible for nomination. The nomination period for Hall of Fame Class of 2017 is now through November 1, 2016. Nomination forms, including complete eligibility requirements and information on the selection process, are available online here. Paper forms are available in the GHS athletics and activities office.
The Hall of Fame award will recognize and honor outstanding achievements of individual athletes, coaches, and friends of Greendale High School who have contributed to the integrity, promotion, and growth of athletics at the school. Members of the Hall of Fame will have performed at both an exceptionally high athletic level and represented Greendale with high standards of citizenship and character. This award will also recognize and honor people who have been instrumental in creating an excellent athletic tradition in the ideals of “Panther Pride”.
The Induction Ceremony will take place at a Greendale High School home basketball game.
GHS inducted its first Hall of Fame Class in February 2016. It included Robin Schrank, Baseball Coach (19801999); the 2006 Girls Softball State Championship Team; Kaylan Caiati, GHS ‘03, a fourtime State Tennis Champion; Jim Gruenwald, GHS ‘88, State Wrestling Champion and Olympian; Matt Reischl, GHS ‘94, All State Football Player; and Jerry (GHS ‘58) and Diane Meyers, Greendale Youth Football Directors and Friends of GHS Athletics.
