GMS 8th Graders Tour Greendale’s Living Museum

Greendale Middle School eighth grade students toured the Greendale’s historic downtown district. Over 200 students und their teachers were escorted by volunteer members of the Greendale Historical Society on Friday, May 27. Various Greendale areas were featured including Apricot Court, Angle Lane, the Village Hall, Historic Hose Tower and the new Historic Greendale Welcome Center. This is the third year that students from Mrs. McCarthy’s and Mrs. Perry’s classes have walked the paths and courts of our National Historic Landmark. Joey Gerard’s Hosts “Greendale Remembers: A Musical to Greendale” at the Historic Hose Tower on March 23

In the finale of a three part dining series presented by Joey Gerard’s on March 23 will feature entertainment by Michael Jones, Choir Director at Greendale High School along with eight student choir members. They will be performing songs of the 1930s and 1940s. The event will be held at the Historic Hose Tower located at 5699 Parking Street in Greendale. A reception will be held from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. With the dinner and show from 6:15 to 8 pm. Price is $55 per person plus gratuity. Hose Tower Grand Opening Set for October 25

A piece of Greendale history has made its way back to the 21st century. The Hose Tower will host a Community Grand Opening on Sunday, October 25 celebrating the renovation to the historic building in the heart of downtown Greendale. The Village of Greendale and the Greendale Historical Society is inviting the public to attend the open house from 1 to 3 p.m.
