The Village of Greendale completed a $1.2 million purchase of 8 acres of property for the development of a 160-unit, high-end apartment complex on land just east of Southridge Mall. The village purchased the land from J.C. Penney Corp.

A Greendale teenager who was reported missing on August 2 was found safe this morning in Minneapolis, authorities said. According to reports, Danielle Lee Wegner's mother believes the 14-year-old left her Greendale home on Monday after a disagreement.

Construction on a “state-of-the-art” multiplex cinema in an underutilized portion of the Southridge Mall parking lot is expected to begin this fall.

Greenfield has given final approval for a 40-acre, mixed use development south of I-894 and west of South 84th Street with construction to begin this summer.
Four Greenfield houses have been moved to country to make way for the $115 million development along Layton Avenue from 84th to 92nd streets and north to Interstate 894.
The Franklin common council voted this week to amend the city’s comprehensive plan for the land where Ballpark Commons has been proposed, changing it from residential and transportation to mixed use. The vote is the first hurdle for a proposed development.
